Kyoto Art Center Co-program 2021 Category C - organized by Kana Matsuo and Yang Chunting An Interval for Creators - Why “Art Collectives” Now?
On Saturday, November 6th, 2021, Yano will be joining a discussion event as a guest hosted by Kana Matsuo and Yang Chunting from Tokyo University of the Arts. The event will be dealing with key topics/words such as “Collective”, “Group Creation”, and “Collaboration” with presentations based on on-site experiences as well as interactive dialogue-based workshops, and Yano will be speaking about shelf’s activities. Another guest is Haruka Iharada, an independent curator who works both nationally and internationally.
When it talks about “creators”, the program refers to not only artists but also technicians, arts managers, dramaturgok, as well as students who are planning to work in the arts field in the future. The presentations in the first half of the event will be available online remotely. Please join us if you are interested.
